When your Opponent isn't Evil Enough

I'm enjoying reading this meta-analysis of American politics, and realized we've seen this movie before -- when partisans try to frame their opponents as even worse than they already really are.

Specifically, the case of Jason Levin, who hates the Tea Party so much, and was so frustrated that they weren't acting out the racism that he knows they secretly harbor, that he advocated that progressives should make and carry racist signs while pretending to be Tea Party members.
